General Guidelines of Submission

Original text by *TheWiccanWay, amended by ~Doppelgangergang.

Merry Meet all!

:bulletblack: DO put all your work into the folder which represents it the most. Here are a few guidelines in order for you to have a general idea of what a folder represents. If you have any questions, please do send a Group Note. The moderators do check the sections often and help move pieces to the right places, so don't worry about having a piece in the wrong section.

:bulletblack: DO write something OF INTEREST relating to PAGANISM into your art piece's comment box, OR ELSE IT MAY BE REMOVED. This especially goes for Nature Photographs, Jewellery AND Cartoon/Illustration Drawings. I am rarely lenient on this.

:bulletblack: We have an open-blog system for all members to use! We live by the Habit of Enlightenment, so write a blog and tell us your thoughts, questions, concerns or experiences! We would love to read and respond to them. Please be thoughtful on what goes on your blog. Ideally, a blog should invite other people to discuss on the comments. Creating a blog for the sole purpose of advertising (without permission) is discouraged.

:bulletblack: DON'T send in multiple pictures of the same thing, like several shots of your altar or different angles of a tree. Some images may be so detailed that they'll need several shots and this I will take exception on, but please be more thoughtful to the space you take up inside our Archive. Should there be multiple photos submitted when not necessary, I will choose to preserve the best picture with the most detail and remove other submissions.

:bulletblack: DO note me at *TheWiccanWay if you have any problems.

:bulletblack: DO stick all sales pieces into the SELL and be WELL folder IF the Enlightenment you write as part of the image piece IS NOT more interesting then it's size and worth! It will be moved if not delete.

Thank you everyone and don't worry if you feel like you've broken the rules with previous submissions because you haven't. Keep 'em coming hard and strong guys!

Need to talk? Leave a comment or note me at *TheWiccanWay and I promise to do all I can to help.

Any inappropriate or questionable pieces? Send ~Doppelgangergang a note with a link to the submission in question to give it a check. You could also note him to inquire about removed pieces.

Did your submission got removed from the group? Head on here to see why, and how you can resubmit it.

BLESSED BE!

Hello! I'm starting out my journey as a Pagan. I'm slowly learning to find my self, and bring in positive energy to my home. I'm young and don't understand too much, but I want to learn more, and learning from others is one of the best ways to learn. I know it's more about figuring it out by yourself, and I am, but if there are any tips or anything useful any one would like to share with me, I'm a very open person and would love to hear about what you have to say! :) I'd love the positive wisdom.
Thank you. :)

Hi there :) I'm the founder of one of your group's affiliate groups, #dA-pagans.

Our group is holding a Yule-themed contest at the moment, and we were wondering if you'd be interested in sharing it with your members? If you are, the information is here: Yuletide Spirit Contest

Thank you for your time :)

I'm not sure if this is something anyone would be interested in... But for those in the Boise (Idaho) area I'll be teaching a class at the Universal Pagan Temple on how to make and use pendulums July 25th for our monthly Domestic Goddess get-together (despite the "Goddess" in the name, men and women are both welcome :) ).

Hey DontAskWontTell, sorry for the delay in the reply :)

I can certainly tell you how to use a pendulum. They aren't difficult at all to use and basic instructions are all over online (look at any of the pendulums I have for sale in my store, I include instructions in the description). However I should mention that pendulums are really a minor part of pagan way of life, as you put it.

Where you start probably depends on where your interests lie. You should probably start by reading online and figuring that out. I can recommend some books that were recommended to me when I first started and that I've found useful as references over the years. Animal Speak is a good book, it was recommended to me for finding your animal guide/totem/power animal and helping you to build a relationship with your animal. Tarot may also be a good place for you to start... I can't recommend any good books on that however, since I had someone to teach me rather than a book. But it's been a useful skill...

Plus, it certainly helps that it entertains my mom and Nanna so they don't keep bringing up the "So you don't believe in Jesus?" because, let's face it, there's only so many times I can explain to them what I do believe and what I don't believe and I get a bit tired of repeating myself :P Of course... If you get good at tarot, then you end up with the "How did you know that?" conversation instead, but I've found it's the much more pleasant of the two ;)

My advice would be to start with meditation. You can find guided meditations on YouTube, since you may have trouble getting yourself into the right mindset at first without help. By meditating you will probably be able to figure out what to do next on your own.

Sorry, lol, I didn't mean to write a small novel for an answer >.< Hopefully you got at least something out of that rant :) Message me if you have any more questions or need help. I'll try my best to answer without writing another book of an answer ;)

no it's fine; i prefer a detailed anwer :-) however, my pagan jourey wil be a private (secret) journey; my parets are highly religious (jehovahs witnesses) and see any other religion, specificly a pagan one as a 'heathen/satanic' so i have to keep this quiet
